In the middle of the Utah desert, this is a good spot for revival! The decor is fun, made up mostly of river rafting tee-shirts mounted behind glass and photos of rafting adventures. The food was alright, though not quite as great as some reviewers suggested, but would probably taste like the best sustenance ever fresh off a stint on the river. We were certainly grateful to find something edible in just that spot.

I sit down at the bar and am immediately served with a glass of ice water and asked if I would like a drink. I ordered a great ale from a Salt Lake City Brewery, and a cheeseburger. Highlight of the food was the homemade french fries (some of the best I've ever had!)

I’m a small town where there were only a handful of options to eat, we stopped by Ray’s Tavern, which looks like a bar/family restaurant. Place got busy after we arrived. Menu options were between affordable burger plates and more expensive steak dishes. We opted for the burgers which are the most popular items and we were not disappointed. Burgers were big and juicy. Fries were home made and home cut which means they don’t use the frozen stuff. They basically give you the bread and meat and everything else on the side that way you can assemble the burger as you like with your favorite dressings. The fries where also saltless so it allows you to add your own desired amount. Staff was nice and friendly.

2 beers with a cheesburger and fries, cost just under $20. As someone who comes from LA and Chicago, this counts as quite the affordable meal, and great service, and a wonderful, warm, and convivial atmosphere to top it off

Park Ranger recommended Rays for dinner. We sat at the bar & watched the chef turn out the meals with such proficiency that it was almost mind boggling. The man had it down to a science. Was fascinating to watch. Food was fabulous. Burgers heavenly. Fresh, tasty, & cooked to our requests. Fries hot. Fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, none of that wilted stuff. The staff was hustling too. I don't think anyone waited more than 5 minutes to get their order put in & then where eating as soon as the food was cooked. If it wasn't for the 2 day drive, I'd make it a weekly visit. Next time (probably next year)I'm out that way I will definitely make a point in grabbing a burger at Rays Travern.

We have been through Green River several times over the last few years. Wish we had found Ray's Tavern sooner! Stopped in for burgers and beers after a long day on the ATV. Great burgers. Ice cold beer. Fast service. What more can you ask for! Will eat here again the next time we wander through Green River.
